Q: WHAT IS YOUR BOOKING POLICY?

A: We are open by appointment only. For special occasion makeup application, please allow at least 3 days advanced notice to book your appointment with our makeup artists. For bridal makeup services, please provide at least 3-4 weeks advanced notice to reserve your appointment with our talented artists. If you need to change or cancel your appointment, we ask that you please contact us as soon as possible and no less than 24-hours in advance. A: REFINED BEAUTY ON THE GO is relatively new in the industry and has a combined experience of 1 year. Though we have limited experience, we strive to deliver the results our clients want. We also keep up to date on the latest trends, tips, and tricks to broaden our knowledge. Read the ABOUT THE ARTISTS page to find out about their individual experiences!

Q: DO YOU OFFER HAIR SERVICES?

A: No, we are licensed estheticians who specialize in skin, hair removal, and makeup application. We are not licensed in hair, though we have several contacts we can reach out to if you are in need of hair services.

A: Yes, our makeup artists offer 30-minute trials in the clients home for special events and bridal makeup application. They begin with a detailed consultation where they discuss with the client their apparel, any accessories they may have, and photos they found that the client would like to emulate. Then application begins and pictures are taken by the makeup artist and client for reference and feedback later on. The makeup artist also makes detailed notes of what was discussed and how they achieved the look so when the special day arrives, application runs smoothly in an efficient and timely manner.

Q: CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE PARTIES?

A: Yes, at this time, we are able to accommodate parties of up to six people! REFINED BEAUTY ON THE GO makeup artists have similar artistry styles, so you won't have to worry about getting the look you want. For bridal parties, please contact us directly about booking your wedding party.

Q: WHAT IS A FACIAL AND WHY DO I NEED ONE?

A: A facial is a professional cleansing, purifying, and beautifying treatment of the skin on the face and neck. Facials are the number one treatment performed by estheticians, and a good way for your therapist to get a good understanding of your skin prior to suggesting more aggressive treatments. For most people, facials can be scheduled every four weeks, although your therapist may recommend a different schedule. There are many variations of facials based on different needs, as well as different lengths of time. A mini facial may be only 20–30 minutes in length, while a more luxurious version may be 75–90 minutes in length. Tell your esthetician exactly what you want to get out of your facial, and she/he will be able to recommend a facial to meet your needs.

Q: I'VE NEVER BEEN WAXED BEFORE. HOW IS IT DONE?

A: Waxing is the most common method of hair removal in spas today. Hair on any part of the body or face can be waxed. Warm wax is applied to the area and then removed, bringing the hair with it. Waxing reduces hair growth when performed at regular 30-day intervals. Because waxing pulls the hair out by the root, it grows back softer, finer, and thinner. The more you wax, the less hair grows back. Waxing should not be performed if you have particularly sensitive skin, because it pulls off a couple of layers of skin cells along with the hair. Waxing can cause tenderness and swelling. In addition, some medications will cause the skin to react badly to waxing. Don’t wax if you’re taking Retin-A, Accutane, or any type of acne prescription.

Q: WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

A: We proudly accept cash and all major credit/debit cards, including American Express. Personal checks at this time are only accepted for facial and waxing services.

Q: WHAT ARE THE "ADDITIONAL FEES"?

A: In order to keep our costs down and to provide our clients with an economically friendly service, our additional fees for REFINED BEAUTY ON THE GO are on a case-by-case basis. These fees may include a $3.00 invoice fee, travel expenses, and/or cancellation fees.

Q: DO YOU OFFER ANY DISCOUNTS?

A: We here at REFINED BEAUTY ON THE GO proudly offer 10% student and military discounts. We want to support students in continuing their education and we appreciate those who served our country! You must provide your school or government issued ID to receive this discount. Offer may not be combined with other discounts or High School packages, as those packages are already provided at a reduced rate.
